31.05.2024

A call for proposals for Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that create products or services with a focus on exports and/or innovation is open!

12 SMEs can receive up to €40 000 each and advisory support under the international cooperation programme “EU4Business: SME Recovery, Competitiveness and Internationalisation”.

Ukrainian business has suffered significantly as a result of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The war in Ukraine put many businesses on the edge of survival. The majority of small and medium- sized enterprises in Ukraine were directly affected by the war. Due to the generally lower resources and less resilience compared to big business, these companies were hit even harder.

During this critical time, it is imperative to support Ukrainian SMEs so that the economy stays afloat, and Ukrainians remain in active business environment and also employed.

The project goal is to support innovative small and medium-sized enterprises with a high export potential via financial and consultation assistance and thus contribute to the country’s economic resilience and recovery.

As part of the project, SMEs will receive financial support of up to EUR 40 000 each to develop export and innovation capabilities, as well as consultations from experts, which will help overcome barriers to export development and innovation.

The project is targeted at SMEs operating in the following sectors:

  • Processing (food, light industry, machinery, construction, furniture, etc.)
  • Creative industries (fashion and design etc.)
  • Other sectors not mentioned above with export and innovation potential.

The high priorities will be given to SMEs, which have the following concepts: circular economy, green economy, eco-friendly producing, energy efficiency, renewable energy.

Applications for participation in the project are accepted until June 25, 2024 23:59.
