Applications Open for the Partnership for Sustainability Award 2026 Campaign!

Partnership for Sustainability Award is an annual international award by the UN Global Compact Ukraine that recognizes outstanding projects implemented through partnerships between business, public, and civil society sectors. 

These projects contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, environmental protection, the resolution of social and economic challenges, and supporting Ukraine during the full-scale Russian invasion.

This year, awards will be presented in 10 categories:

  1. ENVIRONMENTAL & CLIMATE ACTION: projects in energy efficiency, renewable energy, decarbonization, environmental protection, including water resource management, biodiversity preservation, waste management, and circular economy initiatives;
  2. SOCIAL CHANGE & INCLUSION: initiatives focused on accessibility and inclusion, diversity, gender equality, support for vulnerable groups, community development, and human rights protection;
    2.1. Subcategory: HEALTH & WELLBEING: initiatives focused on physical and mental health, prosthetics and rehabilitation, access to healthcare services, occupational health and workplace safety, employee and community wellbeing, psychological support programs, promotion of healthy lifestyles, and wellbeing solutions for veterans, youth, employees, and vulnerable groups;
  3. GOOD GOVERNANCE: initiatives and practices aimed at developing transparent, ethical, and effective governance, including the improvement of corporate governance systems, fostering integrity and compliance culture, anti-corruption initiatives, risk management, ensuring accountability and transparency, engagement with supervisory bodies and stakeholders, as well as the application of due diligence, OSINT, and other mechanisms;
  4. UKRAINE RECOVERY: support for Ukrainian defenders, humanitarian aid to civilians, demining, evacuation, reconstruction projects, and initiatives supporting Ukraine;
  5. VETERANS EMPOWERMENT: employment and support programs for veterans, career development and adaptation initiatives, veterans’ mental health support, entrepreneurship, and professional education for veterans and their families;
  6. EDUCATION: school education, career-oriented professional education, educational initiatives (including lectures and training programs without financial support for participants), upskilling and reskilling, and business education for students;
  7. ECONOMIC RESILIENCE & ENTREPRENEURSHIP: business support, supply chain development, entrepreneurship development, acceleration and financial support programs, local economic development, employment initiatives, and internship programs
    7.1. Subcategory: COMMUNITIES & REGIONAL IMPACT: initiatives aimed at the development of communities and regions, support for local economies, job creation, community recovery, development of local entrepreneurship, cooperation between businesses and communities, and strengthening regional resilience;
  8. DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION & INNOVATION: industry-specific and technological solutions, process automation, AI implementation cases, business analytics, cybersecurity, startup collaboration, and the development of technology parks and innovation ecosystems;
  9. CULTURE, MEDIA & PUBLIC AWARENESS: cultural initiatives, preservation of cultural heritage, documentary and narrative projects, media literacy, awareness campaigns, and strengthening public dialogue;
  10. LEADERS OF CHANGE: personal or corporate initiatives created or led by leaders, ambassadors, founders, executives, public figures, or opinion leaders who use their influence, public voice, and ability to unite people to implement socially impactful projects, support Ukraine, empower communities, and drive positive social change.

Projects submitted for the award must be implemented by a business, NGO, educational institution, or local authority in partnership with representatives of another stakeholder group.

A mandatory requirement for participation is the involvement of at least one partner with whom the project has been implemented. Projects must have been implemented no later than 2025. Projects that are still in the implementation phase are also eligible to apply.

Companies or organizations applying from Ukraine must be participants of the UN Global Compact Ukraine. For companies that are not yet participants, further details are available  on the Project Page.
