Invitation to the 2024 Partnership for Sustainability Award Ceremony!

On December 3 at 16:00, the award ceremony for the Partnership for Sustainability Award – 2024 winners will take place.

This event is an annual international campaign in which the UN Global Compact Network Ukraine recognizes the best projects implemented in partnership between business, government and civil society to achieve the SDGs. This year, we are awarding projects of participants from Ukraine and European countries aimed at supporting Ukraine during the full-scale invasion, as well as other best practices of sustainable development that can serve as an example for future recovery.

The competition participants include representatives from Ukraine, Finland, Hungary, the Netherlands, Andorra, Norway, Turkey, Croatia, Switzerland, France, Germany, and Malta. Ukrainian thought leaders, celebrities, influencers, and ambassadors of the UN Global Compact in Ukraine will also join the event.

The winners will be selected by an international jury consisting of:

  • Vanessa Hans, Head of the Private Sector at the Basel Institute on Governance;
  • Antonio Hautle, Executive Director of the UN Global Compact in Switzerland and Liechtenstein;
  • Gauthier Vasseur, Executive Director at the Fisher Center for Business Analytics in California;
  • Yevgeniia Afanasenko, British-Ukrainian environmentalist, ESG specialist, and sustainable development advocate;
  • Hitomi Sakamoto, Professor Emerita at Toyo Gakuen University in Tokyo;
  • Patrizia Gazzola, Professor of Business Administration at the University of Insubria, Italy.


The award ceremony will be held in a hybrid format, allowing for in-person attendance in Kyiv or online participation. Please REGISTER to attend.

16:20 — 17:15 Panel Discussion: “Partnerships for Climate-Neutral and Innovative Recovery of Ukraine: Challenges and Opportunities”

The discussion will focus on how international and domestic partnerships can drive innovative recovery in Ukraine, ensuring economic growth, social stability, and the achievement of climate goals. We will discuss the roles of businesses, civil society, and government in fostering sustainable development, as well as the importance of technology, renewable energy, and investments in Ukraine’s green transition.
