Gauthier Vasseur, Executive Director of the Fisher Center for Business Analytics at University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, has signed a Letter of Understanding with the UN Global Compact Ukraine and became its AI & Business Analytics Ambassador.

Gauthier started his career in auditing, corporate finance, and treasury. In 2004, he moved to the technology world, becoming director of product marketing for performance management solutions at Hyperion in Silicon Valley. Later, he joined Google as director of financial data management. He subsequently became the Vice President of Data Processing Solutions at TriNet. In 2011, he offered his first data courses at Stanford, and 6 years later, he founded Data Wise Academy. In 2018, Gauthier joined UC Berkeley to lead the Fisher Center for Business Analytics at the Haas School of Business. In 2018, he became a founding partner of Le Pont in France. Gauthier is also the author of the book Become a Data Pioneer.

“Engaging a partner like Gauthier Vasseur will be a powerful tool to improve the quality of UNGC Ukraine educational projects aimed at supporting the Ukrainian private sector. Cooperation with Berkeley University, one of the world’s best universities, will allow us to successfully implement innovative working protocols and artificial intelligence, which will help strengthen the competitiveness of Ukrainian companies in the global market. And this is especially valuable in times of such challenges for business as we are currently facing,” emphasized Tetiana Sakharuk, Executive Director of the UN Global Compact Network Ukraine.

Gauthier Vasseur commented on the partnership with the UN Global Compact Ukraine:

“It is the center’s mission to run research, offer world-class educational programs, and support democratizing the data and analytics field. The UNGC Ukraine educational projects perfectly align with our vision and goals. While we are proud to support the development of data-driven ecosystems in Ukraine, we are also excited to collaborate with students and professionals who are not only talented and eager but also showing us what resilience and bravery are really about.”

Sustainable development is impossible without innovation, and innovation is impossible without the use of cutting-edge technological advancements: artificial intelligence and data analytics. Ukrainian companies currently need expertise in these areas during the war, and collaboration with Gauthier Vasseur will assist in this.
